Quick-Strip Paper Piecing Workshops

The New Feathered Star sample The New Feathered Star:Feathered Star is one of the most beautiful traditional blocks, often attempted in the past only by master quilters because of the need for such precision piecing of the tiny triangles. Piecing them in rows with the Quick-Strip Paper Piecing method makes it possible for all levels of quilters to make this block much easier and faster! New settings, including setting the octagon on point, give a totally new look to this classic favorite.
Sailor's Delight sample Sailor's Delight: This is a simplified Mariner's Compass, sewn with octagon wedges and no circles!
Split Compass sample Split Compass: The 15-inch Split Compass block is composed of mirror-image octagon wedges and no circles, producing a three-dimensional effect.
Palm Leaf sample Palm Leaf: This simple traditional block has many different design options. Use it alone in a variety of settings, as borders, or set other 12" blocks on point with Palm Leaf triangles in the corners. Palm Leaf units also make great borders.
Wishing Star sample Wishing Star: This star design looks great set straight or on point. Block portions can also be used as setting triangles or as borders for many different design options.
Evening Star sample Evening Star: Similar in appearance to the classic Mariner's Compass, this circular design is simplified and pieced in a fraction of the time. Piece it in traditional colors for a classic look, or go wild with directional fabrics and bright colors.
Snowflake sample Snowflake: Piece a snowflake block for the winter holidays! One-day workshop includes instruction for one snowflake block and demonstration of how to add sun-printed snowflakes to your pieced block. Expanded workshop of 2 - 3 days includes instruction in the entire quilt, pictured here.
Millenium Star sample Millennium Star: This 18" star block can be finished in a one-day workshop using Quick-Strip Paper Piecing techniques. Add borders for a small wallhanging, or use this star as the center of a round robin or medallion quilt.

Serendipity sampleSerendipity: This easy block is a great introduction to Quick-Strip Paper Piecing and has many design options. Use it alone as a wallhanging, or use it as a setting block with other 12" blocks. It also makes a great border!
